Lordsburg is 2-8 against Hatch Valley since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Lordsburg will be playing at home against Hatch Valley at 3:00 p.m. Lordsburg will be strutting in after a victory while Hatch Valley will be coming in after a defeat.
Lordsburg gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Jemez Valley as Lordsburg made off with a 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Mavericks, who have now won four games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Isaac Murillo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Lordsburg's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Lordsburg got a massive performance out of David Valarde, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Victor Valdez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Hatch Valley came up short against Miyamura on Saturday, falling 9-3. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hatch Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was FRANKLIN WILLIAMS, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
The victory made it two in a row for Lordsburg and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Hatch Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Hatch Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lordsburg hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .411.
