The Albert Gallatin Colonials pushed their score all the way to 69 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Elizabeth Forward 74-69. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (63), Albert Gallatin still had to take the loss.
Albert Gallatin lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Blake White, who scored 23 points. White has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shymere Wilson, who scored 17 points.
Albert Gallatin now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Elizabeth Forward, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albert Gallatin will square off against the Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Uniontown presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Colonials in Pennsylvania (the Red Raiders are ranked 21st, while the Colonials are ranked 364th). Elizabeth Forward's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Laurel Highlands has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12.
