The Prague Red Devils lost against the Holdenville Wolverines back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Prague fell 57-45 to Holdenville. While losing is never fun, Prague can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Holdenville is ranked 90th).
Holdenville was led to victory by Dah?myah Olden and Belle Mcfarland. Olden scored 16 points, while Mcfarland scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcfarland has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cylee Null, who scored eight points.
Prague's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-9. As for Holdenville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prague will take on Seminole at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seminole is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Holdenville, they will be playing at home against Wewoka at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Wewoka focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday.
