Make it four blowout wins for the Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Loveland Classical 58-29 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Windsor Charter Academy has posted since December 1, 2023.
Windsor Charter Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sadie Curry, who scored 15 points along with six steals and five assists. Curry continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Morgan Kimmi, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Loveland Classical's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Alethia Thye, who scored 15 points along with three steals, and Lara Riedel who scored five points along with six rebounds.
The victory got Windsor Charter Academy back to even at 6-6. As for Loveland Classical, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-2.
Windsor Charter Academy will head out on the road to square off against Golden View Classical Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Golden View Classical Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 last Friday. Loveland Classical will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Front Range Baptist at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
