Baseball Recap: Eastern's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Eastern extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 17-5 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Pennsville Memorial Eagles. Considering the Vikings have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Pennsville Memorial, they moved to 13-7 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since March 27th.

For Pennsville Memorial's part, Chase Burchfield made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Peyton Obrien also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Looking ahead, Eastern will be playing in front of their home fans against Lenape at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pennsville Memorial, they will head out on the road to challenge Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
