Fairfield has won three straight games at home, while Armijo has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Falcons will host the Royals at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Fairfield's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Foothill 11-0. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

Karli Robinson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 17 over six innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 6 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Fairfield let Kaya Lanzon and Bethany Johnson run wild. Lanzon went 1-for-4 with one home run, while Johnson went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Mariah Giron was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Fairfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Armijo made easy work of Burbank on Wednesday and carried off a 25-1 win.
Like Fairfield, Armijo also got a great game from a two-way player: Kamryn Talley. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Talley a new career-high in strikeouts (three). She was also solid in the batter's box, going 4-for-6 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Brooklyn Talbot was incredible, firing off nine RBI, five runs, and two triples while going 6-for-6. Another player making a difference was Angel Arias, who went 3-for-5 with five runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Armijo's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Fairfield, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Fairfield has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Armijo struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Fairfield came up short against Armijo when the teams last played back in March, falling 11-6. Will the Falcons have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
