Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Stratford Elks walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 22-7 win over Stamford on Friday. The victory was just business as usual for Stratford, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
It was another big night for Bryce Braden, who rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 103 yards and a touchdown.
Stratford's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Stamford, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.
Stratford is on the road again on Friday and play against New Deal at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. New Deal is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games. Stamford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
