Baseball Recap: First Baptist Academy Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

First Baptist Academy has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging three runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cooper City Cowboys.

First Baptist Academy's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6. As for Cooper City, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. First Baptist Academy will head out to challenge IMG Academy Navy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cooper City, they will venture away from home to face off against Community School of Naples at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Cooper City 4.1, Community School of Naples 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
