Centennial came out on top against Central on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run second inning. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 17-10 margin over the Cobras. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Cobras recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
The team relied heavily on Rayne Cohen, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Serenity Robinson was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Centennial's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Sebastian River, the victory was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 4-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Sebastian River has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Centennial struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
