Rappahannock County just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Madison County Mountaineers at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Rappahannock County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though Grace Christian scored an imposing 58 points on Thursday, Rappahannock County still came out on top. Rappahannock County strolled past Grace Christian with points to spare, taking the game 77-58.
Meanwhile, Madison County unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Clarke County by a score of 58-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Max Lohr, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth McLearen, who scored 13 points along with five assists.
Rappahannock County has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Madison County, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7.
Rappahannock County might still be hurting after the 74-53 defeat they got from Madison County when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Madison County's Billy Acton, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
