The Kimball Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 22 points or more this season. They really took it to Hillcrest for the full four quarters, racking up a 83-52 victory on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-19.
Marri Wickware continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with nine rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Lance Carr was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Hillcrest's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jed-ethan Nansha, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kurt Thomas, who scored 13 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Kimball and bumps their season record up to 5-5. As for Hillcrest, they bumped their record down to 4-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Kimball will be home for the holidays to greet Corner Canyon at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Corner Canyon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 316 points over their last five matchups. As for Hillcrest, they will head out on the road to face off against White at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. White presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hillcrest in Texas (White is ranked 124th, while Hillcrest is ranked 597th).
