Kecoughtan is 8-2 against Heritage since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Kecoughtan Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Heritage Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Kecoughtan's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests.
Kecoughtan pushed their score all the way to 55 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their rough 79-55 loss to Woodside might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Kecoughtan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 164th, while Woodside is ranked 17th).
Kecoughtan's defeat came about despite a quality game from Tyler Suber, who scored 15 points. Briant Galbreath was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, even though Gloucester scored an imposing 57 points on Thursday, Heritage still came out on top. Heritage was the clear victor by a 79-57 margin over Gloucester. The win made it back-to-back wins for Heritage.
Kecoughtan has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for Heritage, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Kecoughtan strolled past Heritage when the teams last played on Monday by a score of 69-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kecoughtan since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
