Eli Hedrick gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in April of 2024 on Thursday. He pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Hedrick and Salem Baptist Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Statesville Christian at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The Vikings had to take a loss when they last met the Lions, but Hedrick had little to do with the loss: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
