Zay Stephens Delivers Best Effort of Season
Sadly, Zay Stephens posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Sheridan over Catholic on Friday. Stephens' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 111 rushing yards.
Sheridan is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. Stephens will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Marion on Friday.

England Made His Presence Known in Catholic's 51-48 Victory
Catholic picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jackson England. Sheridan had no answer to England as he threw for 252 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 49 yards.
If history really does repeat itself, England might just drop another big game when he faces off against Benton on Friday. When England last faced the Panthers back in September of 2023, he threw for 437 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 12.9 yards per attempt.

Hayden Roaf's big game helped extend Catholic's winning streak to seven on Friday. Roaf picked up 85 receiving yards and two touchdowns, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 53 yards.
