Evergreen is a perfect 10-0 against Littleton since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Lions at 11:00 a.m. Evergreen's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Littleton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Evergreen came out on top against Conifer on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run fifth inning. The Cougars put the hurt on the Lobos with a sharp 12-2 win. Considering the Cougars have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on James Mauro, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Keller Fiore, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs.

Evergreen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Conifer only posted an OBP of .263.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Littleton duked it out with D'Evelyn on Thursday. The Lions lost 12-1 to the Jaguars. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Evergreen has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-4-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Littleton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Littleton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Evergreen hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. It's a different story for Littleton, though, as they've only averaged .251. Will they be able to contain Evergreen's hitters?

Evergreen took their win against Littleton in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-6 score. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
