The Dalton Tigers put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their undefeated season alive. They took down Hopkins 21-7.
James M continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 192 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for nine yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. M was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.
Dalton's win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-7 Montclair Kimberley Academy and 1-6 King (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 24% over those games). As for Hopkins, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Dalton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hopkins is also done with their season.
