Basketball Game Preview: Badger Braves vs. Harding Skippers

Badger is 7-2 against Harding since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the Badger Braves will get right back to it and host the Harding Skippers at 7:00 p.m. Badger will be strutting in after a win while Harding will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Badger turned things around against Windham on Wednesday. They really took it to the Bombers for the full four quarters, racking up a 44-12 victory. With the Braves ahead 22-2 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Badger got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Riley Thomas out in front who posted five points in addition to 11 boards and four steals. Thomas is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Sophie Stanhope, who had ten points in addition to five boards and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Harding played a tough game on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 65-17 loss at the hands of Maplewood. The Skippers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-11.

Badger will need focus on slowing down Taylor Prioreschi, one of several Harding players who made an impact when they last played. She posted five points and seven rebounds. That's the most points Prioreschi has posted since back in January.

Badger's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Harding, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything came up roses for Badger against Harding in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 61-6 win. In that contest, Badger amassed a halftime lead of 46-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
