The Castaic Coyotes's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard on Tuesday.
With a playoff game on the line, Castaic rose to the challenge on Friday. They strolled past the Cavaliers with points to spare, taking the game 55-41.
Meanwhile, Godinez Fundamental came tearing into Friday's game with 14 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Heritage 63-37. Given Godinez Fundamental's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 349th, while Heritage is ranked 738th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Castaic's win bumped their record up to 16-14. As for Godinez Fundamental, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season.
