Barberton is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Thursday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Cuyahoga Falls.

Cassie Moore spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Barberton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maia Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Tallmadge came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 7-4.
Larissa Taylor looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk).
On the hitting side, Tallmadge let Leila Staszak and Naomi Richardson run wild. Staszak went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Richardson went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Richardson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Payton Almond, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Tallmadge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 8-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Tallmadge's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Barberton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
