The Central Rockets will head out on the road to face off against the Marmion Cadets at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Central will come into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
Central's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Hinsdale South with a sharp 6-0 victory.

Daniel Koertgen looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Central got a massive performance out of Liam Schultz, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Koertgen, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Marmion might've scored the first runs on Thursday, but it was Oswego who claimed the real prize. The Cadets fell 6-3 to the Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Cadets in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.
Marmion also got a good showing from Matthew Murray, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Ethan Flores made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Charlie Zebig, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Central pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 6.8 runs this season. As for Marmion, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4-1.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Marmion struggles in that department as they've averaged .327. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Marmion when the teams last played back in April of 2021, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
