A Season-Best Effort from Sawyer Staudt Leads Priest River over Orofino
On Friday, Priest River got the W thanks in part to Sawyer Staudt playing the best football he has all season. Staudt wasn't messing around, rushing for 264 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. The matchup was his fifth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
The win (which was Priest River's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Staudt and Priest River will challenge St. Maries at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

While Johnny Starrs delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Orofino. Nobody could stop Starrs as he rushed for 139 yards while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. His longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.
Orofino is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. Starrs and Orofino will square off against Bonners Ferry at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
