It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Immaculate Conception Lions ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They managed a 56-51 win over Ramapo. That's two games straight that Immaculate Conception has won by exactly five points.
Ramapo's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peyton Seals, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Chris Cervino was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
The victory (which was Immaculate Conception's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Ramapo, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Immaculate Conception will square off against Don Bosco Prep at TBD on Monday. Don Bosco Prep has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 514 points over their last seven games. Ramapo is on the road again on Monday and play against St. Peter's Prep at 1:30 p.m. on January 1, 2024. St. Peter's Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ramapo in New Jersey (St. Peter's Prep is ranked fourth, while Ramapo is ranked 30th).
