St. Benedict's Prep had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped down to 0-6 to make it eight. They fell just short of the Paramus Catholic Knght Paladins by a score of 4-3. On the bright side, the three- run effort marked the Gray Bees' highest-scoring matchup to date.

As for Paramus Catholic, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games.

For Paramus Catholic's part, Max Rozenblatt looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Rozenblatt has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Benedict's Prep will welcome Montclair Kimberley Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Paramus Catholic, they will be playing at home against Bergen Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
