Jace Chadez was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. Chadez is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dresden Wood, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Heston McIntyre also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Payette entered their tilt with Firth on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 6-2.
Payette's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Michael Ocampo, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
Marsing's record now sits at 4-0. As for Payette, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
