Rock Hill has gone 7-2 against South Point recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Redmen are taking a road trip to take on the Pointers at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Rock Hill barely beat Chesapeake the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Redmen were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over the Panthers on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Redmen needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Khloe Kline made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Kline was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs.

In other batting news, Aubrey Malone was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Alaina Wilds was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Rock Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chesapeake only posted an OBP of .217.
Meanwhile, South Point hadn't done well against Dawson-Bryant recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Pointers walked away with an 8-5 win over the Hornets. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pointers.
Like Rock Hill, South Point also got a great game from a two-way player: Kota Copley. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Copley has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaylee Stidham, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyleigh Castle, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one double.
Rock Hill's record now sits at 5-10. As for South Point, their record is now 11-5.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Rock Hill hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. However, it's not like South Point struggles in that department as they've averaged .383. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Rock Hill came up short against South Point in their previous matchup on April 10th, falling 7-3. Can the Redmen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
