The team also got some help courtesy of Clarissa Leon, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.
Redlands' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-7. As for Summit, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-7.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Redlands hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. However, it's not like Summit struggles in that department as they've averaged .328. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Redlands couldn't quite finish off Summit in their previous matchup back in February of 2020 and fell 10-8. Will Redlands have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
