South Putnam is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They didn't even let Southmont on the board, marking the Eagles' second-straight 2-0 shutout.

The result came thanks to Taylor Boyce's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, South Putnam's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Elliana Cox, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Greencastle narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Parke Heritage 4-3. That's two games straight that the Tiger Cubs have won by just one run.
Ali Hassler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brooklyn Boyd, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Makenzie Creviston also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Greencastle hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parke Heritage struck out 11 times.
South Putnam's record is now 16-5. As for Greencastle, their record now sits at 9-13.
Greencastle's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: South Putnam hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. It's a different story for Greencastle, though, as they've only averaged .258. Will they be able to contain South Putnam's hitters?
