Auburn will take on Maroa-Forsyth at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Auburn has three straight victories, Maroa-Forsyth has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, Auburn made easy work of Riverton and carried off a 16-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Giada Sinclair and Meena Taylor made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Sinclair struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Meanwhile, Taylor pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Sinclair a new career-high. At the plate, Sinclair went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI, while Taylor went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Piper Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Wheatley, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Auburn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverton only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Maroa-Forsyth's offense. They lost 8-0 to Olympia on Tuesday.
Danni Hovey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Adelyn Simmons made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one stolen base.
Auburn's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Maroa-Forsyth, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
Auburn beat Maroa-Forsyth 4-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will Auburn repeat their success, or does Maroa-Forsyth has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
