The Intrinsic Mustangs lost against the Foreman Hornets back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Intrinsic received a tough blow as they fell 49-31 to Foreman. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Intrinsic in their matchups with Foreman: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Intrinsic had strong showings from Aniyah Wiggins, who scored 11 points, and Dezanique Riley, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Riley has scored all season.
Intrinsic's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Foreman, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Intrinsic won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Disney II at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. Disney II's defense has only allowed 29.5 points per game this season, so Intrinsic's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Foreman, they will head out on the road to challenge Senn at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Senn is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
