Leesville had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 20-13 margin over the Washington-Marion Charging Indians on Tuesday. The Wampus Cats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Leesville's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-12. As for Washington-Marion, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Leesville is set to challenge their familiar foe Eunice at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Washington-Marion will square off against rival DeRidder at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
