The Wicksburg Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Elba Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Wicksburg came up short against Geneva County and fell 59-52.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Elba's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. The match between Elba and Brantley wasn't particularly close, with Elba falling 69-54.
Wicksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Elba, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.
Wicksburg didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Elba when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 56-51 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wicksburg since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
