The Enloe Eagles's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Athens Drive Jaguars at 8:00 p.m. on February 9th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Enloe suffered a rough 58-33 loss at the hands of Sanderson. While losing is never fun, Enloe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 335th, while Sanderson is ranked 105th).
Despite the loss, Enloe had strong showings from Gift Moses, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, and Bryson Cousar, who scored four points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Athens Drive's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Heritage on the road and fell 77-41.
Enloe has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season. As for Athens Drive, they dropped their record down to 5-16 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Enloe lost to Athens Drive on the road by a decisive 57-39 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Can Enloe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
