The Carroll Eagles waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. Everything went their way against Greenville as Carroll made off with a 68-43 victory. Given Carroll's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Greenville is ranked 328th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Carroll's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Culver, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of N'jia Gosha, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Carroll has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. As for Greenville, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-24.
Carroll will head out on the road to challenge Charles Henderson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Charles Henderson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 games -- so hopefully Carroll likes a good challenge. Greenville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
