Crosspoint Christian and The Fulton are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. Crosspoint Christian will head out on the road to square off against The Fulton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Crosspoint Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last 11 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Thursday, Crosspoint Christian came up short against Varsity Opponent and fell 35-22.
Despite the defeat, Crosspoint Christian saw an underclassman step up: Ella Cobb dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 12 rebounds, and ten steals. Cobb is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, The Fulton had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Rivers of Life Christian 46-9 at home. The win was just what The Fulton needed coming off of a 66-34 loss in their prior match.
Crosspoint Christian's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-11. As for The Fulton, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Crosspoint Christian took a serious blow against The Fulton when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 49-10. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of The Fulton's Lily Leonard, who scored 31 points.
