Warrior Run hasn't had much luck against Loyalsock Township recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Defenders will challenge the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Warrior Run is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 34.2 points per game this season.
Warrior Run is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past North Penn-Mansfield 55-6 on Friday. The Defenders haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Warrior Run's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cohen Zechman led the charge by picking up 175 receiving yards and three TDs. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Zechman a new career-high. Warrior Run also got a significant boost from Denyn Beachel, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 110 yards.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Warrior Run proved: they limited North Penn-Mansfield to a paltry three yards per carry. The team can thank Carter Pe?a for the heroic effort on defense: he. Warrior Run didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.3.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Warrior Run, racking up 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Zechman, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Loyalsock Township and Lewisburg, and Loyalsock Township kept the tradition alive. The Lancers walked away with a 14-7 victory over the Green Dragons on Friday.
Loyalsock Township's win came from a few key players Warrior Run will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Danny Dowell, who rushed for 108 yards on only 15 carries, and also threw for 85 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Loyalsock Township is undefeated when Dowell posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Jalil Coates also helped out as he racked up 135 rushing yards.
Warrior Run's record is now 5-1. As for Loyalsock Township, their record now sits at 4-2.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Warrior Run has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 177.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Loyalsock Township struggles in that department as they've been averaging 180 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
