Softball Recap: Fox Chapel Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Fox Chapel won the last time they faced Mars and things went their way on Monday too. The Foxes blew past the Fightin' Planets 13-1. Considering the Foxes have won six games by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Fox Chapel pushed their record up to 9-2-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mars, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fox Chapel will challenge Deer Lakes at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mars, they will square off against Shaler Area at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
