Eldorado has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Legacy Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Eldorado will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nevada Rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Legacy is ranked 16th).
Eldorado suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Virgin Valley by a score of 51-49. That's two games in a row now that Eldorado has lost by exactly two points.
Meanwhile, Legacy entered their tilt with Del Sol with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Legacy blew past Del Sol, posting a 68-37 victory on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Legacy has posted since January 2nd.
Legacy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rahjon Chambers led the charge by scoring 13 points. Another player making a difference was Nasir Cazares, who scored 14 points.
Eldorado has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Legacy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
Eldorado was dealt a bruising 80-48 defeat at the hands of Legacy when the teams last played back in February of 2020. Can Eldorado avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
