The Berne Union Rockets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Fisher Catholic at home and fell 67-7. While losing is never fun, Berne Union can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 786th, while the Irish are ranked 183rd).
It was another big night for Voni Bethel, who scored 28 points along with six assists and three steals for Fisher Catholic. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bethel has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ellie Bruce, who scored 14 points along with five steals and three blocks.
Berne Union's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Fisher Catholic, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.
Berne Union will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fisher Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against the Titans at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Notre Dame is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
