The Nature Coast Tech Sharks will head out on the road to face off against the Lecanto Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nature Coast Tech is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
Nature Coast Tech managed to slip by The Villages Charter the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Sharks lost 11-4 to the Buffalo on Friday.

Athena Brown was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lecanto, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Central with a sharp 11-1 win on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Panthers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Abigail Males was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Males was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Shawna Griffin and Anna Taylor did most of the damage at the plate: Griffin scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Taylor scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, Griffin posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Kierstyn Swayze, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Lecanto hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central struck out ten times.
The victory snapped Lecanto's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-11 record. As for Nature Coast Tech, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7.
Nature Coast Tech couldn't quite get it done against Lecanto when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Can the Sharks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
