After a string of five wins, the Addison Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Oakman by a score of 45-42. Addison has not had much luck with Oakman recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Oakman got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Trenton Warren out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. The contest was Warren's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Rick Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 4 steals.
Addison has yet to win a match at home this season, leaving them with a 5-1 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Oakman, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Addison won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Winston County at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Winston County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while Addison is ranked 50th). Oakman won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Dora at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Dora focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday.
