The Maplesville Red Devils won the last time they faced the Billingsley Bears, and things went their way on Friday too. Maplesville took down Billingsley 53-38.
Maplesville found their leader in underclassman Nehemiah McCary, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McCary has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Wilson, who scored six points along with three steals.
Maplesville's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Billingsley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.
Maplesville will look to defend their home court on Monday against Verbena at 6:30 p.m. Verbena has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Billingsley, Billingsley and Loachapoka will face off at 3:30 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
