Piedmont Classical has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Piedmont Classical posted their biggest victory since December 8, 2023 on Tuesday. They breezed by Cornerstone Charter at home to the tune of 79-37. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-16.
Piedmont Classical's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Anderson, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season. Nick Daniel was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, College Prep & Leadership Academy humbled Millennium with a 74-26 victory.
The win got Piedmont Classical back to even at 8-8. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.
Piedmont Classical couldn't quite finish off College Prep & Leadership Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 52-50. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of College Prep & Leadership Academy's Jayden Davis, who scored 21 points along with four steals. Now that Piedmont Classical knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
