The Whitehall Railroaders will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Hartford Central Tanagers at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. Whitehall's defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Hartford Central's offense will have their work cut out for Hartford Central.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Whitehall beat Salem 30-25. The victory was just what Whitehall needed coming off of a 39-19 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Hartford Central humbled Schroon Lake with a 54-23 victory.
Hartford Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alawnah Dunda led the charge by scoring 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cailin Severance, who scored 12 points along with 3 steals.
The losses dropped Whitehall to 2-2 and Salem to 0-2.
Everything went Whitehall's way against Hartford Central in their previous matchup back in January as Whitehall made off with a 63-42 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Whitehall since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
