Baseball Recap: Pryor Makes It Four in a Row at Home

On Thursday Pryor's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Durant Lions. The three-run effort marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Gavin Roberts was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Roberts was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

In other batting news, Sergio Banuelos was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Pryor's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Durant, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Pryor will be taking part in a tournament against Soddy Daisy at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Durant, they will take on Stephenville in a tournament on Monday.
