Wallace County extended the longest winning streak in Northwest Kansas (8 Man) this week by beating Weskan, 56-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Wildcats.
Wallace County took down the Coyotes 56-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Eli Kuhlman ran for 117 yards and caught four passes for 37 yards in the win.
Dighton's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ryan Kuhlman threw for 200 and three touchdowns and Isaac Alinor had 169 yards receiving. On the ground Alinor chipped in 124 yards. Trevor Bollinger helped Dighton's passing attack out by catching two balls for 36 yards.
Callahan Grund made the biggest impact on defense this week as Kevin Ayers' team defeated Weskan. The junior recorded one fumble and grabbed one sack.
The Hornets' Kuhlman and Alinor have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Kuhlman has thrown for 785 yards this season, while Alinor, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 30 catches for 476 yards. Michael Capo from Rawlins County leads the league in rushing with 821 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Hoxie and the Buffaloes. The Indians enters the game ranked eighth in the state, while Rawlins County ranks 21st.
The Wildcats led Northwest Kansas (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on Marc Cowles' team. Kuhlman in the win.
