The Springtown Porcupines had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 53-42 win over Centerville.
Springtown found their leader in underclassman Dawson Doggett, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 steals. Doggett is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Paige Winstead, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Springtown is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Centerville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Springtown's road trip will continue as they head out to face Onalaska at 5:00 p.m. on November 30th. Centerville won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Buffalo at 11:00 a.m. on December 1st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Buffalo is ranked 1071st, while Centerville is ranked 1057th).
