South Fork and St. Bernard are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2024, but likely not for long. The Cubs will welcome the Crusaders at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (South Fork has eight straight victories, St. Bernard's has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Friday, South Fork made easy work of Hoopa Valley and carried off a 13-7 win. Considering the Cubs have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, St. Bernard's scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 25-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ferndale.
Aryanna Osborne put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and eight unearned) runs off four hits. Osborne was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with five runs, three RBI, and two doubles. She also snagged a stolen base, marking her first of the season.

Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. South Fork hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .361. However, it's not like St. Bernard's struggles in that department as they've averaged .346. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
South Fork got the 'W' when the teams last played on April 7th against St. Bernard's by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Cubs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Crusaders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
