Glencliff is 5-0 against the Wildcats since February of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Glencliff Colts will head out on the road to challenge the Valor College Prep Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Glencliff lost to the Lightning on the road by a decisive 53-37 margin. Glencliff has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Valor College Prep's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Hume-Fogg, falling 57-21. While losing is never fun, Valor College Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 346th, while the Blue Knights are ranked 125th).
Glencliff's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Valor College Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
Glencliff was able to grind out a solid victory over the Wildcats in their previous meeting back in January, winning 52-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Glencliff since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
