The Elyria Catholic Panthers were the 59-48 winner over the Westlake Demons when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Elyria Catholic fell to Westlake 52-48.
Despite the loss, Elyria Catholic still got an impressive performance from Isabelle Niederst, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Niederst is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Camara Ogletree, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Elyria Catholic's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6. As for Westlake, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-9.
Elyria Catholic will head out on the road to take on St. Joseph Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Elyria Catholic is facing St. Joseph Academy at the right time seeing as St. Joseph Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Westlake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Padua Franciscan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Padua Franciscan will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Westlake surely won't give up without a fight.
