Concordia Academy is a perfect 3-0 against Roosevelt since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Beacons will take on the Teddies in a tournament on Friday. Concordia Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
Concordia Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt St. Croix Lutheran on Monday. The Beacons were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Crusaders.

Ashlyn Croon made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Concordia Academy got a massive performance out of Grace Madden, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Maria Mueller, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Concordia Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Roosevelt's offense. They lost 15-0 to Apple Valley on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Teddies' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
The win got Concordia Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Roosevelt, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Everything went Concordia Academy's way against Roosevelt when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Concordia Academy made off with a 12-0 victory. Will the Beacons repeat their success, or do the Teddies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
